Ghana attacker Emmanuel Gyasi has described Spezia’s incredible win at the San Siro against AC Milan as a ‘dream evening’.
The 28-year-old forward snatched the winner for Spezia on Monday night against the seven-time Champions League winners, as the Eagles move to 14th on the league standings.
AC Milan took the lead through Rafael Leao at the stroke of half time but Spezia leveled with 25 minutes left.
With the game almost ended one apiece, Emmanuel Gyasi hit the back of the net in the 95th-minuye mark to seal an outstanding victory for Spezia Calcio.
“Coming to San Siro and playing a match like this is a dream for any player and we are not in the skin of joy. We deserve to have won, we deserve an evening like this and we dedicate it to our fans who could not be with us today, but who nevertheless never fail to support us,” Gyasi said after the game.
“A great group and I repeat, coming here and winning is a dream for anyone, but with humility everything is possible. Milan is a great team, compared to last year’s home victory, this is even more valid because it was obtained in a stadium where pages of world football history have been written,” the attacker who was snubbed for the Africa Cup of Nations added.
Gyasi is, however, optimistic Spezia will beat the drop once again following their recent impressive form.
“The second round is a different championship, you must never let your guard down, but keep working with your head down and pedaling,” concluded the attacker.
