Former Minority leader and Member of Parliament for Tamale South has opened up on the lucrative nature of football management and also disclosed who would sign Fatawu Issahaku contract at Leceister City this summer.
Bankroller of Karela Fc, Haruna Iddrisu has described football management as a lucrative business which needs a lot of investment to make it viable.
In a debate on the floor of parliament, the Law maker lamented on his struggles as a club owner and his difficultly even in acquiring a home venue for his club. The poor state of the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium has forced the Premier League club to adopt the newly built Naa Sheriga Sports Complex Park in Nalerigu as their home venue.
“Mr speaker is good money, but before you are lucky to have that, you must invest well” Haruna said. The outspoken legislator has also chosen his colleague and member of Parliament for Okaikwei Central, Patrick Yaw Boamah to sign the contract on behalf of his player ( Fatawu Issahaku) this summer at Leicester City.
“Patrick don’t worry very soon you will walk to Leicester and do the final signing” Haruna Iddrisu further stated. It is yet to be established if Patick Boamah is also involved in football management like his compatriot.
Fatawu Issahaku has been on blistering form since his loan move from Portugues side Sporting Lisbon last summer to the Former English Champions. The Pacy left footed winger has scored 3 goals and assisted 10 goals in the English Championship this term.
