Asante Kotoko’s goalkeeper, Fredrick Asare, has been honored with the Ghana National Ex. Goalkeepers Union Award for December.
Competing against tough nominees like Obeng S. Gregory, Kofi Baah, and Kwame Aziz, Asare emerged victorious.
The shot-stopper’s remarkable performance contributed significantly to Asante Kotoko’s unbeaten record in December, securing 4 clean sheets, 4 wins, 1 draw, and conceding only 2 goals in 5 league matches. This outstanding achievement earned him the prestigious award.
The accolade includes a set of gloves and a jersey, which will be presented to Fredrick Asare by the National Goalkeepers Union (NGU).
The October award went to Benjamin Asare of Accra Great Olympics, while Emmanuel Kobi of Bofoakwa Tano claimed the November honors.
