Antoine Semenyo has revealed the early childhood roots of one of his most dangerous attributes — his ability to use both feet with equal confidence, a skill that continues to trouble defenders at the highest level.
The Ghana international is widely known for his unpredictability in attack, with opponents often unable to determine whether he will strike with his left or right foot when he gets into scoring positions.
But according to Semenyo, the trait was not developed through coaching alone — it was discovered at home long before he entered academy football.
“In the house there were little things on the floor and I’d always kick it with my right foot and then my left foot,” he explained.
What started as simple childhood play soon became something his family noticed as unusual.
“My mum would wonder why I could kick it with both feet and my dad agreed it was a special talent but she didn’t understand,” Semenyo said.
Even at a very young age, the signs were clear that he was different from his peers.
“From Under-8s I was different and could use both my feet very well,” he added.
That natural ability has since become one of his biggest strengths in professional football, allowing him to remain unpredictable in tight spaces and giving him an edge over defenders who struggle to anticipate his next move.
What began as playful moments at home has now evolved into a defining weapon in Semenyo’s career at the top level.
