Westham United defeated Brentford 4-2 in a London derby on Monday Night at the London Olympic Stadium. Jared Bowen stole the headline by scoring a fantastic hat trick to help the Hammers record their first win in 9 games.
Jared Bowen’s goal got Gary Neville, former Manchester United skipper, praising Ghanaian forward Mohammed Kudus for his role in the goal.
“There was a part of that goal that I loved. Being a full-back myself, I used to hate it when the wide player would get the ball and run at you with real aggression, and Kudus did that. He’s been quite erratic at times tonight in his play, Bowen gets a hat-trick, but it’s laid on a plate for him,” said Gary Neville, the former England right-back.
Mohammed Kudus’ cross was headed in by Jared Bowen who scored a hattrick against Brentford.
Sergio Reguilon had no idea what Kudus was going to do exactly with the ball as he and Ben Mee watched him trick them and cross the ball for Bowen to calmly score his hat trick.
“Reguilon, Kudus just goes and puts him inside the box, he scoops it up beautifully into a great area and I love that,” added Neville.
Mohammed Kudus has been so exceptional since joining Westham United from Ajax Amsterdam in 2023 summer for €43m.
