Nurudeen Amadu, the coach of Samartex, has emphasized the importance of maintaining focus and avoiding complacency as his side prepares to face Nations FC in week 18 of the Ghana Premier League.
Following their impressive 2-1 away victory over Aduana Stars, which extended their lead at the top of the league table by five points, Amadu is wary of the challenge posed by Nations FC.
Baba Musah opened the scoring for Samartex just eight minutes into the game, with Emmanuel Keyekeh’s stunning goal sealing the victory for the visitors. Although Nations FC managed to grab a consolation goal through Sampson Cobbinah in the 75th minute, Amadu recognizes the threat they pose.
Speaking ahead of the upcoming fixture, Amadu stressed the need for his team to approach the match with determination and focus.
“It’s a tough match. They are stubborn side so we need not to be complacent or swollen headed. We have to go all out against Nations FC. Every match is crucial as we aspire to get far this season” he said.
With Samartex currently leading the Ghana Premier League table with 35 points, Amadu is keen on maintaining their momentum and securing another important victory.
