Derrick Köhn is on the verge of joining Werder Bremen on loan from Galatasaray, with the transfer window approaching its close.
Reports indicate that Köhn could provide the crucial reinforcement Bremen needs for their left wing.
Sky Sports initially reported Bremen’s interest in Köhn, with the club now in advanced discussions with Galatasaray. DeichStube, a portal closely following the club, confirms that Bremen has reached an agreement with Köhn, and talks with the Turkish club are progressing.
Turkish journalist Ertan Süzgün adds that an agreement between Bremen and Galatasaray is in place, with Köhn expected to arrive in Bremen by Friday at the latest.
The 23-year-old left-back, originally from Hamburg, began his youth career at HSV and played 53 games for Hannover 96 in the second division before joining Galatasaray in February for €3.35 million. He has since become a regular starter for the Turkish side.
According to Transfermarkt, Köhn’s current market value stands at €6 million.
