Ghanaian forward Ansgar Knauff put in a brilliant display to help Eintracht Frankfurt claim a huge victory over VfL Bochum in the German Bundesliga.
The former Dortmund winger played the full match on Saturday as his team dominated Bochum at Deutsche Bank Park, cruising to a commanding 7-2 win.
The scoring began early for Frankfurt, with “France international Hugo Ekitike opening the floodgate” just nine minutes into the game, thanks to an assist from “in-form Egyptian star Omar Marmoush.” Frankfurt doubled their lead in the 18th minute as Marmoush scored directly from a free kick in this eagerly awaited clash.
The home side didn’t let up, as “Ansgar Knauff and Nathaniel Brown extended the advantage” with goals in the 20th and 32nd minutes, putting Frankfurt comfortably ahead. Bochum managed to narrow the gap with goals from Dani de Wit in the 35th minute and Philipp Hofmann in the 51st.
However, Frankfurt responded quickly, securing the win with additional goals from Mahmoud Dahoud, Can Uzun, and Ekitike again in the second half. This dominant performance gave Frankfurt a well-deserved three points.
Knauff, who is 22, has now made seven Bundesliga appearances this season, scoring twice for Frankfurt so far.
