Ghanaian defender Gideon Jung is full of excitement in making a return to action for relegated Greuther Furth in the Bundesliga.

The 27-year-old missed majority of the club’s games this season as a result of  injury but returned on matchday 30, where he cameoed in the game against Hoffenheim.

He also played against Bayer Leverkusen and Union Berlin, his third and four appearances of the campaign.

Despite Greuther Furth’s demotion to the Bundesliga II, the former Hamburg star wants to continue his spell with the Cloverleaves.

“I need a little more to last 90 minutes, I feel in it But training is getting better and better,” he told Kicker.

“After the long break, the coach’s confidence does me good to be able to get into a tight game, even for just a few minutes.

“I would be happy if I could return the trust placed in me in the new season and want to prepare as best as possible.”
