German club TSG Backnang has significantly bolstered its squad by securing the services of 23-year-old Andrew Owusu.
The central midfielder, of German-Ghanaian origin, arrives at TSG Backnang with prior experience in the region, having spent two years at Austrian side Dornbirner SV in the regional league. During his time there, he frequently earned a spot in the starting lineup, showcasing his skills.
Owusu’s football journey is deeply rooted in the region. Born in Blaubeuren in the Swabian Jura, the 1.82-meter-tall player began his youth career at VfB Stuttgart, SSV Ulm, and 1. FC Heidenheim’s A youth Bundesliga team.
During his time at Großaspach, he consistently featured in the regional league, making meaningful contributions to SG Sonnenhof’s performance.
Following his tenure in Austria with Dornbirner SV, Owusu has now landed at TSG Backnang. The club firmly believes that Owusu’s presence will elevate the overall quality of the squad.
Although Erdmann is pleased with Owusu’s arrival, he clarified that the club’s transfer activities for the current window have concluded, despite earlier hopes of securing a replacement for Marco Rienhardt.
