VfB 1905 Marburg have strengthened their defence by signing German-Ghanaian left-back Lloyd Addo Kuffour.
The 24-year-old arrives with valuable experience from several levels of senior football and is expected to add quality and depth on the left side.
Kuffour developed through respected German academies, including Hannover 96 and Borussia Dortmund. That early training provided him with a strong technical foundation before he moved into senior football and began building a substantial record in the Regionalliga.
The defender has also played in Austria’s second division, giving him experience beyond Germany and exposure to a different style of football. Most recently, Kuffour was contracted to BFC Dynamo, where he continued his development and gained further competitive experience.
Marburg believe his background will make him an important addition to the squad. His defensive ability, athleticism and familiarity with higher-level football should give the team more options in the wide areas while increasing competition for places.
Kuffour will wear the number three shirt at VfB Marburg. The club welcomed him publicly, writing: “Welcome to VfB, Lloyd! Great to have you here.”
His arrival offers Marburg an experienced young defender who can contribute immediately while continuing to grow. Supporters will now look forward to seeing the new signing in the club’s blue-and-white colours.
