German-Ghanaian forward Michael Gyasi has completed a loan move to English National League North side AFC Telford United from Bedford Town for the remainder of the season.
The 26-year-old arrives at the New Bucks Head with a wealth of experience gained across the English lower leagues and will be hoping to strengthen Telford’s attacking options during the second half of the campaign.
Confirming the move, AFC Telford United welcomed the striker on social media, writing: “AFC Telford United are delighted to announce the signing of forward Michael Gyasi on loan from Bedford Town! Welcome to the Bucks, Michael!”
Gyasi trained with his new teammates on Friday and is in contention to make his debut when Telford face Spalding United in the National League North.
The versatile forward began his football journey in the academy of Premier League side Leicester City before embarking on a career across England’s non-league system.
Over the years, he has represented clubs including Barton Rovers, St Ives Town, Chesterfield, Gloucester City and Bedford Town, earning a reputation for his pace, physical presence and versatility across the front line.
Gyasi also enjoyed a spell in Germany with Phoenix Lübeck, adding valuable overseas experience to his football journey before returning to England.
Although he holds German nationality, the forward remains eligible to represent Ghana at senior international level through his heritage.
AFC Telford United will be hoping Gyasi’s experience and attacking quality can provide an immediate boost as they continue their National League North campaign, while the striker will be aiming to make a strong impression during his loan spell and help the club achieve its objectives this season.
