West Ham United’s new striker Niclas Füllkrug has heaped praise on the club’s wealth of creative players, including Ghanaian international Mohammed Kudus.
The German striker, who joined West Ham from Borussia Dortmund for 27.5 million pounds on a four-year deal, is thrilled to be joining the London side.
Speaking in his first interview after joining the Hammers, Füllkrug highlighted the number of quality creative players West Ham have, including Kudus, who won the club’s Goal of the Season Award in the last campaign. “I am very happy to be here, also a little bit excited. I can’t wait to get on the pitch with my new mates. It’s a dream because you have [Lucas] Paquetá, [Jarrod] Bowen, [Mohammed] Kudus, and now [Crysencio] Summerville as well,” he said.
Füllkrug is looking forward to working with his new teammates, stating that he believes he can fit into the team well. “There are a lot of very good players who can assist me, and if I get assists then I can score. I believe I can fit into this team very well.”
Kudus, who scored 14 goals and added six assists in 45 games in all competitions in his debut season with West Ham, is expected to be a key player for the Hammers this season. With Füllkrug’s arrival, the team looks set to be even more formidable going forward.
