The Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association has appointed Nana Joe Darkwa as the new head coach of Ghana’s U17 women’s team.
Nana Joe Darkwa, Ampem Darkoa Ladies’ tactician will be assisted by Basiru-Deen Sumani, the head coach of Northern Ladies.
Nana Joe Darkwa will replace Baba Nuhu as the new head coach with formwe Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Osei Boateng as the goalkeeper’s trainer.
The Ampem Drakoa Ladies tactician is currently the assistant coach of the Black Princess who won the WAFU CAF Women’s Champions League and also finished fourth in the main CAF Women’s Champions League hosted in Ivory Coast in 2023. He is someone who the FA believe has gained enough experience in the women’s game after leading Ampem Darkoa to huge success in 2023.
Joe Adarkwa is expected to take the Black Maidens to the FIFA World Cup.
