Ghana Football Association President, Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, attended the inauguration of the newly refurbished Hohoe Sports Stadium on Saturday, November 30, 2024. He was joined by football legend Abedi Pele at the event, marking a significant milestone for the stadium and football in the Volta Region.
The grand inauguration ceremony featured a friendly match between former Black Stars players and a Hohoe select side, providing an exciting start to the stadium’s new chapter. The newly renovated stadium, with a seating capacity of 7,000, is poised to enhance Ghana’s football infrastructure, attracting more tournaments and events to the region.
This state-of-the-art facility will also provide a major boost to Hohoe United FC, a club in the Access Bank Division One League, as well as other lower-division teams in Hohoe and surrounding areas. The revamped Hohoe Sports Stadium is expected to serve as a valuable resource for both the local football community and the wider Volta Region.
