AFC Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola has suggested that the suspension of Antoine Semenyo could work out positively for the Ghanaian forward. Semenyo, who earned his fifth yellow card of the season, will miss Bournemouth’s Premier League match against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday, November 30.
Although Semenyo has been one of Bournemouth’s standout performers this season, with four goals in 12 appearances, Iraola views the suspension as an opportunity for the player to recharge. “We will have Antoine out, he is obviously another important player… and he was doing very good things,” Iraola said in a pre-match interview.
Iraola further explained, “With the international break he had, I think we will focus it in a positive way and he can have like a small break and then be ready again for a very demanding month of December.”
While Semenyo’s absence may pose a challenge in the short term, Iraola remains confident that the break will help him return refreshed and prepared for Bournemouth’s busy December fixtures. The manager believes this will ultimately benefit both the player and the team in the long run as they push for success.
