The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has reiterated its support for the Black Princesses as they gear up for the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.
Led by General Secretary Prosper Harrison Addo and Deputy General Secretary Alex Sakyi Asante, a delegation visited the team’s camp in Cape Coast to express the GFA’s and the government’s steadfast backing.
“We are here on an official visit to let you (the team) know we are fully behind you. We know that with the hard work you have put in, you’ll go and make Ghana proud on the world stage,” Addo assured the team.
He stressed the GFA’s commitment to providing all necessary support for a successful campaign: “You have the full support of the Football Association and the Government as you embark on this journey. We have put in place measures to make sure you have a smooth preparation.”
Head coach Yussif Basigi, along with other officials and committee members, expressed their gratitude for the GFA’s unwavering support.
The Black Princesses will commence their World Cup campaign against Austria on September 2, followed by matches against Japan and New Zealand.
