Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum, head coach of Asante Kotoko, finds himself embroiled in controversy as he faces charges of misconduct and verbal abuse of match officials following a Premier League encounter against Aduana FC.
The charges, in accordance with the Ghana Football Association (GFA) disciplinary code of 2019 and the GFA Premier League Regulations of 2019, are outlined in section 12(1)(i) and section 34(6)(d) respectively.
Allegations against Ogum include accusations of verbally abusing match officials during the game and engaging in behavior that could tarnish the sport’s reputation. The GFA has given him until Wednesday, March 20, 2024, to respond to these charges.
The incident unfolded during Asante Kotoko’s match against Aduana Stars, which ended in a third consecutive defeat for the Porcupine Warriors in the ongoing Ghana Premier League.
