Chairman for the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA), Mr. Kudjoe Fiano says the association will not organize a top four competition during the off season.
Calls were made by some top football gurus who were asking GHALCA to organize a top six competition instead of top 4 after Hearts of Oak failed to finish in the top four places in the league.
Hearts of Oak’s Public Relations Officer, Mr. Opare Addo recently appealed to the organizers of the top four to include the Phobians in the off season competion to prepare them for the CAF Confederation Cup competition.
Nonetheless, the GHALCA boss has confirmed that they will stick to the top four competition instead of the proposed top six.
“The Ghana League Club Association [GHALCA] will organize a ‘Top 4,’ and not ‘Top 6’ preseason competition,” he told Kumasi-based Kessben FM.
Asante Kotoko who won the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League will represent the country in the CAF Champions League.
