Nigeria thought they had been offered a golden opportunity to take lead against Ghana at the Babayara Sports Stadium during the first leg of the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier.
Baba Iddrisu was initially adjudged by referee Redouane Jiyed to have handled the ball in the Ghana penalty box but the Video Assistant Referees asked him to go to the pitch-side monitor to have a better view of the incident.
Kelechi Iheanacho had tripped the Real Mallorca midfielder to the ground before he handled the ball and the Moroccan referee Jiyed reversed his initial decision.
