Malik Abubakari, a Ghanaian footballer, made a significant impact for Viborg FF during their 1-1 draw with Vejle BK on Sunday afternoon.
The match, part of a relegation playoff in the Danish Superliga season, took place at Vejle Stadion.
Although Abubakari did not start the game, he entered the field in the second half, substituting for Anosike Emanta in the 63rd minute.
Just ten minutes after coming on, Abubakari scored a brilliant goal, giving Viborg FF a 1-0 lead.
His contribution bolstered the team’s attack and provided them with an advantage in their quest for three vital points.
However, despite Viborg FF’s commendable performance, they were unable to maintain their lead, as a late goal from Kristian Kirkegaard equalized the score for Vejle BK, resulting in a 1-1 draw.
Nevertheless, the draw keeps Viborg FF in a favorable position to avoid relegation by the end of the season.
Abubakari and his teammates must remain focused and determined in their remaining matches to secure their position in the league.
