Christian Joe Conteh, a forward born in Germany with Ghanaian heritage, showcased his talent by scoring for VfL Osnabruck on Sunday afternoon in a 2-0 victory over Greuther Furth.
The 24-year-old started for VfL Osnabruck in the Round 28 match of the German Bundesliga 2.
VfL Osnabruck began the game strongly, taking the lead after just three minutes with a goal from Erik Engelhardt.
Although Greuther Furth tried to bounce back and played well, they were unable to capitalize on their chances.
In the 20th minute, Christian Joe Conteh found the back of the net, securing a 2-0 win for VfL Osnabruck by the end of the 90 minutes.
Conteh’s goal brings his tally to four in the German Bundesliga 2, and he has also provided two assists in 25 appearances for his team in the league.
Despite the victory, VfL Osnabruck remains at the bottom of the German Bundesliga 2 standings.
