Black Stars captain, Andre Ayew, has heaped praise on striker Felix Afena-Gyan and winger Osman Bukari after grabbing their debut goals for Ghana.
The promising forwards were on target as Ghana demolished Madagascar 3-0 at the Cape Coast stadium in the opening game of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers on Wednesday 1st June, 2022.
Afena-Gyan, who plays for AS Roma, created the opener which was scored by Mohammed Kudus before he flicked home the second.
Bukari, a second half substitute, sealed victory with a sublime finish after rounding up the Madagascar goalkeeper before slotting home.
“Solid performance and 3 points. Let’s prepare for the next game. Congratulations to Felix Afena-Gyan and Osman Bukari on your first Black Stars goals,” he wrote on Twitter.
Both Afena-Gyan and Osman Bukari had successful campaigns with their clubs, as the former won the Europa Conference League with AS Roma while the latter won the French Cup with FC Nantes.
