Ghana’s Black Stars head coach Chris Hughton has called Hamburger SV forward Ransford Yeboah Königsdörffer to join the team on June 12.
The young forward who plys his trade in the Bundesliga 2 will team up with the Black Stars team for the upcoming 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
He’s been handed a late Black Stars call-up as a replacement for Spanish La Liga side Athletic Bilbao striker Inaki Williams who on Monday, June, 5, pulled out of the Ghana team.
The Ghanaian forward will take the place of injured Inaki Williams in the 24-man squad that will travel to face Madagascar in Antananarivo on June 18.
Yeboah has been in and out of the Black Stars team in recent times but has not been given the chance to shine bright for the Stars team.
He has scored eight times for Hamburger SV in the German Bundesliga 2, providing one assist in 32 games across the season.
The Ghanaian forward will feature for Hamburger SV when they take on VFB Stuttgart in the second leg of the Bundesliga playoffs after a first leg 3-0 defeat.
