Ghana Football Association (GFA) has according to media reports arranged a friendly match for the Black Stars ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.
The senior national team will face Liberia on September 12th at the Accra Sports Stadium five days after AFCON 2023 qualifier against Central African Republic (CAR).
The Stars must beat their opponents or at least pick up a point to secure qualification to the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations tournament to be held in 2024 in Ivory Coast.
The friendly game against Liberia together with the once against Mexico and United States of America in October this year ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.
Furthermore, Ghana will face strong competition in the World Cup qualifiers, notably from Mali, as both teams are favourites in the qualifying group for a place in the prestigious tournament set to be co-hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
