Ghanaian striker Emmanuel Yeboah has completed a permanent transfer to Romanian side CS Corvinul Hunedoara, bringing an end to his two-year spell with Danish club Brøndby IF.
The 23-year-old forward returns to Romanian football, where he previously made his name with CFR Cluj before securing a move to Denmark in the summer of 2023.
Yeboah joined Brøndby with high expectations but struggled to establish himself as a regular first-team player, managing only 10 appearances during his time with the Danish Superliga outfit.
In search of more playing opportunities, the Ghanaian attacker was sent out on loan to Vejle Boldklub before later moving to Swedish side Halmstads BK for the 2025/26 season, where he continued his development away from Brøndby’s first-team setup.
After returning to Denmark this summer, discussions between the player and the club resulted in an agreement for a permanent transfer, allowing Yeboah to begin a fresh chapter with Corvinul Hunedoara.
Brøndby football director Julius Ohnesorge confirmed that the move was considered the best solution for all parties involved, with the club supporting the forward’s decision to continue his career elsewhere.
“We have had a good and open dialogue with Emmanuel throughout the process, and therefore we are also pleased that together we have found a permanent solution that gives Emmanuel the best opportunities to continue his development,” Ohnesorge said.
“It is a solution that we assess is the right one for both parties, and we wish him all the best in the future.”
Yeboah arrives at Corvinul Hunedoara hoping to rediscover the form that made him one of Ghana’s brightest young attacking talents. His performances in Romania with CFR Cluj previously earned him recognition and eventually attracted interest from abroad.
The former Ghana youth international was part of the Black Meteors squad that impressed at the 2023 U-23 Africa Cup of Nations, where he emerged as one of Ghana’s standout performers.
With regular football now the priority, Yeboah will aim to rebuild confidence, improve his goal-scoring record and prove himself once again in Romanian football.
The move represents a crucial opportunity for the talented forward to reignite his career after a challenging period in Denmark and Sweden.
