Ghana left-back Gideon Mensah is expected to be back at Red Bull Salzburg this summer.
The talented lateral defender is on loan at Ligue 1 side Girondis Bordeaux where he has impressed greatly but the club will not trigger the permanent purchase option as they want to keep a moderate budget after being officially relegated last week.
Mensah who has two more years left on his Sakzburg contract will hold preseason with them after which they coaches will decide to keep him or send him on loan again.
He has made 22 Ligue 1 appearances this season providing two assists.
