Samuel Anim Addo, the manager of former Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan, has revealed that Gyan is still open to the possibility of joining Asante Kotoko.
Gyan, who is 37 years old, has been linked with a move to the Porcupine Warriors club since 2020. While there were discussions about a potential deal in the past, an agreement was not reached.
As the 2023/24 football season approaches, Samuel Anim Addo has stated that Asamoah Gyan remains open to joining Asante Kotoko. He emphasized that if the player is approached, he would gladly accept the opportunity to sign for the Reds.
“If Otumfour speaks, who are you to decline his call to duty? We are his sons and if he calls, we will gladly accept it,” the Manager for Asamoah Gyan told Oyerepa Sports.
Asante Kotoko, who missed out on winning a silverware last season, is expected to strengthen their squad by signing new top players.
As part of their preparations for the upcoming season, the club’s board has been dissolved following the expiration of its mandate. A new board and management team will be formed by Manyhia in the near future.
