Ghanaian midfielder Alex Opoku Sarfo is pushing for a move to Belgian top-flight side KV Kortrijk after Aris Limassol rejected a second bid for his services.
The 21-year-old midfielder has attracted strong interest from Kortrijk, who reportedly submitted an improved offer worth €800,000 plus add-ons after their initial €600,000 proposal was turned down by the Cypriot club.
Despite Aris Limassol’s reluctance to sanction the transfer, Sarfo is understood to be keen on the move as he seeks a new challenge in Belgium’s Jupiler Pro League and further development in European football.
The talented midfielder joined Aris Limassol after making his mark in Ghana with Benab FC and has gained valuable experience through loan spells, including a stint with Russian Premier League side Pari Nizhny Novgorod during the 2025/26 season.
At Pari Nizhny Novgorod, Sarfo made 14 appearances in the Russian top flight, while he also previously spent time on loan at AEZ Zakakiou in Cyprus.
A product of Ghana’s youth national teams, Sarfo has represented the country at both U20 and U23 levels, highlighting his potential as one of Ghana’s emerging midfield talents.
