Aduana Stars FC beat Newbies Nsoatreman United FC in the Ghana Premier League week 16 clash at home.

The Ogya Boys secured a comfortable home win over their regional rivals to go five points clear at the top of the league table after 16 games with 31 points.

Gabriel Akwasi Mensah scored the opening goal of the match to put the hosts 1-0 up on the 36th minute mark with a fine finish.

Two minutes away from the full time whistle, Richards Afriyie added the second goal for the Green and Yellow outfits as they won the game 2-0.

The league leaders will make a short trip from Dormaa to Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park to face Bechem United FC in their next game.
