Ghana Premier League: Gold Stars beat Karela United 2-0 at home

In-form Ghanaian top-flight side Bibiani Gold Stars FC inflicted a 2-0 defeat on Karela United FC at the Dun’s on Sunday afternoon.

The Green and Yellow Miners beat the Pride and Passion outfit to go third on the league table after 16 games with 26 points to show for.

Emmanuel Appau put the home team in the lead after 13 minutes of the match with a very cool finish to make it 1-0 to send the home fans ecstacy.

Four minutes later, Noah Martey added the second goal to give the host a 2-0 lead before the break.

Gold Stars didn’t look back from there on as they went ahead to win the game 2-0 at home ahead of their trip to Accra to face Accra Lions.
