Bechem United recorded their first win in the 2020-21 Ghana Premier League on Saturday afternoon at home to West African Football Academy (WAFA) SC.
The Hunters after drawing their first game of the season at Dansoman against Liberty Professionals a week ago came into the game full of confidence in anticipation to record their first win.
Striker, Hafiz Konkoni struck before the half hour mark to put the hosts 1-0 in the end-to-end match before the end of the first 45 minutes.
After the recess, WAFA pushed forward and created good goal scoring chances in the second period of match but vould could not draw level as they left Bechem without a point.
Konkoni’s goal was enough to secure the home team their first win in their first home game of the season and move to third on the league log after two games.
