Berekum Chelsea pipped regional rivals Bechem United FC at the Golden City Park in Berekum on Sunday afternoon in the Bono derby.
The game was full of fireworks as expected with both teams fighting very hard to take all three points right from the blast of the referee’s whistle.
Both teams created good goal scoring chances in the first 45 minutes of the match with high speed level of the game making players fluff their opportunities.
Four minutes into the additional time period of the first half, Fravrien Kongoza got the opening goal of the match to put the Bibires ahead of the Hunters.
Bechem fought extremely hard to come back into the game but couldn’t find they way back into the game with the host taking all three points.
Bechem United Football Club will host Aduana Stars FC in the top of the league table clash in the week 17 of the 2022-23 season at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park.
