Augustine Okrah and Bechem United returned to winning ways with a hard-fought 1–0 victory over Heart of Lions in their Week 20 Ghana Premier League clash at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Stadium.
Okrah struck just four minutes into the encounter, scoring the decisive goal and taking his season tally to seven. The early breakthrough set the tone for an intense contest, with the hosts showing discipline and resilience throughout the match.
Despite missing several key players through injury, Bechem United were strengthened by the return of Isaiah Nayrko from suspension and successfully protected their slim advantage after the break. The result marked a fifth straight home league win and pushed the Hunters into 10th place on the table.
Heart of Lions, who had ended an eight-game winless streak in their previous outing, struggled to build momentum. Although their recent form has dipped, the team remains seventh in the standings with 27 points, thanks to a strong start to the season.
Attention now turns to the next round of fixtures, with Heart of Lions preparing to host Asante Kotoko, while Bechem United travel to Accra to face Hearts of Oak as they look to extend their revival.
