Asante Kotoko came from a goal down to beat league leaders Aduana FC 2-1 under the floodlights of the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
Aduana opened the scoring in the 26th minute, Isaac Mintah tapped the ball home after goalkeeper Frederick Asare pulled off a nice save to prevent a header from Kelvin Obeng from hitting the net.
In the 36th minute, Asante Kotoko leveled the score with a fine finish from Steven Mukwala. The Ugandan international fired a rocket into the net after he was picked up in the box by Georges Mfegue.
Just 2 minutes into the second half, Asante Kotoko went ahead. Eric Zeze display a brilliant skill from the edge of the box, before curling a beautiful one pass the helpless goalkeeper Joseph Addo.
The remaining minutes of the game saw both teams created chances but none was able to take their chances as it ended 2-1.
Accra Great Olympics were held to a 1-1 draw by Tamale City at their newly adopted home ground, the Sogakope Red Bull Area. Christoper Netty gave Olympics the lead in the 38th minute, before Sampson Eduku scored in the 94th minute to steal a point for Tamale City.
Michel Otou and Alex Aso scored in either half to propel Legon Cities to a 2-0 win against Karela United at the Crosby Awuah Memorial (CAM) park. Both teams finished the game with 10-men.
Goals from Ali Huzaif and Godfred Atuahene in the 21st and 70th minute respectively earned Dreams FC a 2-0 win against Samartex 1996 at the Theatre of Dreams in Dawu.
Berekum Chelsea recorded their second away win of the season after beating GoldStars 1-0 in Bibiani. Prince Anane scored the only goal of the game in the final minutes.
Nsoatreman defeated King Faisal 1-0 at home to move out of the relegation zone. Samuel Ofori scored the only goal of the game from a spot-kick in the 94th minute.
A 25th minute penalty converted by Hafiz Wontah Konkoni earned Bechem United a 1-0 home win against Hearts of Oak. The win keeps Bechem United’s title hopes alive, while Hearts of Oak see theirs dented.
Bottom placed Kotoku Royals and Real Tamale United (RTU) played out a scoreless draw at the in Dawu.
On Friday, Bassit Seidu scored four times to propel Accra Lions to a 4-2 win against Medeama. Vincent Atingah grabbed the two goals for Medeam from spot-kicks.
