Bibiani Gold Stars produced a remarkable comeback to defeat ten-man Dreams FC 3-2 in a thrilling five-goal encounter at the Tuba Astro Turf on Sunday.
Dreams FC made a strong start and took the lead just five minutes into the game through Razak Salifu.
The hosts’ hopes of controlling the match suffered a major setback in the 40th minute when midfielder Chris Yaovi Guede was shown a red card, leaving Dreams FC with ten players.
Gold Stars took advantage of the numerical superiority after the break, with Michael Nkoah restoring parity in the 69th minute.
Dreams FC responded quickly, however, as Mohammed Shaban restored their lead just four minutes later to make it 2-1.
The Miners refused to surrender and continued pushing for another equaliser. Their efforts paid off in the 81st minute when Evans Adomako found the back of the net to make it 2-2.
With the match heading into stoppage time, Gold Stars completed a dramatic turnaround as Bernard Kesse scored the decisive goal to seal all three points and leave the home side heartbroken.
The victory gives Gold Stars their first win of the 2026/27 campaign and provides a major boost to their season.
The Miners will look to build on the result when they host debutants Port City FC in their next fixture, while Dreams FC will travel to face Bechem United in search of their first league victory.
