Ghana Premier League giant Accra Hearts of Oak SC suffered a humiliating defeat to Medeama SC at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
The Phobians were thrashed by the Never Give Up side as they failed to stand the heat of the Premier League chasers at theur backyard.
Derrick Fordjour opened the scoring in the 17th minute of the match to put the away team in the lead with a nice finish.
One minute after the half hour mark, Hearts were awarded a spot kick which was converted by Ibrahim Salifu to make it one all.
Three minutes later, Vincent Atingah converted a spot kick to put the visitors 2-1 on 35th minute mark to restore their lead with a cool finish.
Former Danbort striker, Jonathan Mensah Sowah scored the third goal to make it 3-1 before the break.
Jonathan Sowah, on the 85th minute grabbed his brace before Kwesi Donsu added the fifth goal to make it 5-1.
Medeama are top of the league table after 31 matches with 53 points and will face Medeama in their next game at home.
