Hearts of Oak’s perfect start to the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League season came to an end on Sunday after they were held to a 0-0 draw by Bechem United at the University of Ghana Stadium in Legon.
The Phobians went into the match aiming to secure a third consecutive victory after opening the campaign with impressive wins over Bibiani Gold Stars and Berekum Chelsea.
Hearts of Oak dominated significant portions of the game and created opportunities, but they struggled to find the finishing touch needed to break down a well-organised Bechem United defence.
Bechem United remained disciplined throughout the encounter, frustrating the home side and securing a valuable point away from home.
The result ends Hearts of Oak’s winning run but keeps their unbeaten start intact after three matches. The Phobians also remain at the top of the league table.
Hearts of Oak will next travel to Tamale to face Karela United, while Bechem United will host Dreams FC in their next league fixture.
