Basake Holy Stars and Dreams FC played to a goalless stalemate in their Week 2 Ghana Premier League clash at the Crosby Awuah Memorial Stadium in Nzema Anyinase.
In a tense encounter, Holy Stars controlled much of the game but struggled to make the most of their chances. The home team was on the front foot throughout, registering 11 goal attempts, while Dreams FC managed just three.
Despite their dominance, Holy Stars could only direct four of their shots on target, with Dreams offering little threat, managing just one shot on goal the entire match.
Holy Stars also had a slight advantage in possession, holding 56% of the ball compared to Dreams FC’s 44%. They created 71 dangerous attacks, far more than Dreams’ 38, but their lack of precision in front of goal left the match scoreless.
Both sides shared the points, but Holy Stars will likely feel frustrated at not capitalizing on their control of the game, especially in front of their home fans.
