Akyem Kotoku Royals recorded their third win of the season in the ongoing 2022-23 Ghana Premier League at the Cape Coast stadium on Wednesday.
The Royals beat In-form Bibiani Gold Stars FC at home in the round 15 clash of the Ghana Premier League with a 3-2 win after last Sunday’s humiliating defeat in Kumasi to Asante Kotoko SC.
On the half hour mark, Richard Dzikoe grabbed the opening goal of the match to put the hosts 1-0 against the Green and Yellow Miners.
Former Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC striker Francis Andy Kumi scored the second goal for the home team to make it 2-0 to the Royals.
In the second half of the match, Ibrahim Laar converted a 58th minute penalty to reduce the deficit to one for the away team.
Eighteen minutes Royals were also awarded a spot kick which was nicely put away by Andy Kumi to make it a two-goal advantage for the home team.
Former Accra Hearts of Oak SC striker Abednego Tetteh grabbed his third league goal in just two games for Gold Stars by scoring the second and making it 3-2 at the end of the match.
