It will be a new local derby in the Kumasi Metropolis as Nations FC welcome giants Asante Kotoko to the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports’ Complex on match day 6 of the ongoing 2023/2024 Ghana Premier League.
The game has also been tagged as a family affair as Nations FC is owned by former Asante Kotoko Board Chairman, Dr. Kwame Kyei.
Nations FC have an outstanding game but have only one just a game in four matches in the ongoing Ghana Premier League season and it was a 2-0 victory at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex against FC Samartex.
Their previous two games ended in a 1-1 drawn game against Legon Cities and lost at the Golden City Park on match day 5 against Berekum Chelsea.
Asante Kotoko have recorded two victories in a row against Aduana Stars and Accra Lions.
Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum and his team are lacking goals as they are yet to score more than a goal in a game inn the ongoing 2023/2024 Ghana Premier League.
The game will be officiated by Latif Adaari, assisted by Emmanuel Dolangbanu & Gabriel Boateng while Foster Bastiours will be the 4th referee.
