Matchday 13 of the Ghana Premier League served up drama nationwide, with leaders Medeama opening a two-point lead, Hohoe United pulling off the shock of the weekend against Asante Kotoko, and Karela United overpowering Hearts of Oak in Tamale.

Here is the full breakdown of Sunday’s action:

Medeama 2-1 Berekum Chelsea

Medeama strengthened their hold on top spot with a 2-1 comeback victory in Tarkwa. Chelsea grabbed the lead early through Faisal Shaibu, but the champions responded brilliantly. Jacob Mensah Amu levelled the score before Salim Adams struck the winner in the 70th minute.
The win moves Medeama to 26 points, two ahead of Aduana, while Chelsea sink deeper into the relegation zone.

Karela United 2-0 Hearts of Oak

Karela United handed Hearts of Oak their second loss of the season with a commanding 2-0 win at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium. Eric Antwi was the hero, scoring twice in the first half to seal the victory.
Karela jump to 8th on the table, while Hearts fall to 7th, now only a point ahead of their conquerors.

Vision FC 0-0 Young Apostles

Vision FC and Young Apostles played out a lively but goalless draw in Tema. Despite chances at both ends, neither team managed to break the deadlock.
Young Apostles sit 10th on 17 points, while Vision slip to 13th with 15.

Aduana FC 0-0 Basake Holy Stars

Aduana missed an opportunity to keep close to Medeama after being held to a frustrating 0-0 draw at home by a resilient Basake Holy Stars.
The Fire Club rise to second with 24 points, while Holy Stars remain just above the relegation zone.

FC Samartex 1996 2-0 Bibiani Gold Stars

Samartex dominated the Western derby with a convincing 2-0 victory over Gold Stars. Emmanuel Kofi Essien opened the scoring within five minutes, and Emmanuel Mamah added a penalty to seal the win.
Samartex move up to 6th, while Gold Stars stay in 4th.

Dreams FC 2-1 Bechem United

Dreams FC returned to winning ways thanks to a 2-1 victory over struggling Bechem United. An early own goal set them on course before Abdul Razak made it 2-0. Yaw Annor pulled one back, but Bechem couldn’t find an equaliser.
Dreams rise to 14 points and sit 14th; Bechem stay in 17th, deep in relegation danger.

Hohoe United 1-0 Asante Kotoko

Hohoe United produced the biggest upset of the weekend with a 1-0 win over giants Asante Kotoko. William Oduro’s stunning 24th-minute free-kick secured all three points.
The victory gives Hohoe back-to-back wins and lifts them to 9th. Kotoko remain 5th after another damaging result.
