Accra Hearts of Oak secured a 1-0 victory against Kotoku Royals at the Accra Sports Stadium thanks to a late goal by Caleb Amankwah. In the first half, neither team was able to find the back of the net, with Hearts of Oak dominating possession but Kotoku Royals having the better scoring opportunities.

The second half saw Hearts of Oak maintain their possession advantage, but it was Kotoku Royals who had the first big chance when Collins Kudjoe was denied by a great save from goalkeeper Richmond Ayi. Despite the Phobians continuing to put pressure on their opponents, their decision-making in the final third let them down.

However, in the final minute of seven minutes of added time, Caleb Amankwah rose high to head in a precise free-kick delivery from Ibrabim Salifu, securing the victory for Hearts of Oak. Amankwah’s celebration, which involved removing his shirt, earned him a second yellow card and subsequent dismissal, but the goal was enough to give Hearts of Oak the win.

Bechem United recorded a 3-1 victory against Karela United at the Nana Gyeabor Park. Hafiz Konkoni, Isaiah Nyarko and Abdul Karim scored for Bechem United in the first half, before Attah Kumi pulled agoal back for Karela in the second half.

At the Akoon Park in Tarkwa, goals in either half from Joshua Agyemang and Jonathan Sowah earned Medeama a 2-0 win against Great Olympics.

Nsoatreman ended Accra Lions’ 3-game winning streak after beating them 3-0. Nana Kwame Junior, Mark Agyekum and Ushau Abu grabbed the goals for Nsoatreman.

In Tamale, Real Tamale United (RTU) and Berekum Chelsea played out a scoreless draw.

On Saturday, Asante Kotoko recorded an impressive 2-1 win against Samartex at the Nsenkire Sports Arena in Samreboi.

Enoch Morrison and Rocky Dwamena scored for Asante Kotoko, while Ebenzer Acquah scored for Samartex.

At the Tamale Stadium, Tamale City defeated Dreams FC 3-1 to move out of the relegation zone momentarily.

Tamale City raced into a 2-goal lead after just 7 minutes into the game, Nafiu Sulemana and Sampson Eduku the scorers.

Sampson Eduku grabbed his brace and made it 3-0 in the 68th minute, before Ali Huzaif scored the face saving goal for Dreams in the final minute of the game from a spot-kick.

The final games of the round will be played on Monday, Aduana Stars will host Legon Cities in Dormaa and King Faisal battle with Bibiani GoldStars in Kumasi.
