Accra-based Legon Cities FC defeated bottom-placed club Kotoku Royals FC in their week 26 clash in the ongoing 2022-23 Ghana Premier League season.
The Royals inflicted a painful defeat on the Akyem Oda side at the El-Wak Sports Stadium in Accra on Sunday afternoon.
Midfielder, Michel Otou bagged brace in his team’s victory to boost their survival hopes with a well deserved 2-0 win at home-based.
Otou scored the opening goal of the match to put the hosts 1-0 up early in the second 45 minutes of the match after a goalless first 45 minutes at the El-Wak Sports Stadium.
Deep into additional time period of the match, Otou found the back of the net again for Legon Cities as they won 2-0 on the day.
Cities will travel to the CAM Park in Anyinase to face Karela United FC in their next game whiles Kotoku Royals host Real Tamale United FC at home.
