Samartex bounced back to winning ways in the Ghana Premier League in midweek after pipping Bechem United to victory on match day 12 at home.
Seidu Abubakar hit an 83rd-minute winner to ensure the newly-promoted side was back in contention for survival against Bechem United.
The Timber Giants had failed to win their previous three games in the league prior to the fixture against the Hunters on Wednesday.
Bechem, on the other hand, were on a five-game unbeaten streak in the league which included wins over Accra Hearts of Oak and Dreams FC.
However, Kassim Mingle’s side could not hold the threat posed by Samartex as they succumbed to a 1-0 defeat.
The victory over Bechem sees the Samreboi-based club move to 14th on the league table after 15 points amassed while Bechem languishes in sixth, two points off the top four.
