Asante Kotoko will aim to maintain their strong form at the top of the Ghana Premier League table when they face Nsoatreman at the Nana Konamansah Park on Sunday.

The Porcupine Warriors currently hold a narrow one-point lead at the summit and are determined to extend their unbeaten run. Having secured victories in their last two games against Karela and Vision FC, Kotoko are riding a seven-match unbeaten streak that has solidified their title ambitions. Another win in Nsuatre would further boost their position as league leaders.

Nsoatreman, meanwhile, are seeking a response after last weekend’s loss to Young Apostles. Their season has been marked by inconsistency, with only four wins in 18 matches. However, playing at home presents a chance for them to regroup and potentially upset the league leaders.

The rivalry between these two sides has been balanced in recent years. In five meetings since 2022, both teams have claimed two wins each, with one match ending in a draw. Their most recent clash, in October 2024, saw Kotoko secure a narrow 1-0 victory.

Statistically, Nsoatreman have struggled offensively, averaging 0.89 goals per game while conceding 1.17 goals per match. In contrast, Kotoko have been more clinical, scoring 1.17 goals per game and boasting a strong defense, having conceded only 12 goals in 18 matches.

With Kotoko looking to solidify their place at the top and Nsoatreman eager to rebound on home turf, Sunday’s encounter promises to be a thrilling and hard-fought battle.
