Bechem United faced a tough challenge against bottom-placed RTU at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Stadium on Sunday, April 14, 2024, but managed to secure a victory after coming back twice from behind.
RTU took an early lead just 2 minutes into the game with a goal from Awudu Mohammed.Bechem United equalized in the 16th minute thanks to an own goal by Abdul Aziz.
However, RTU quickly regained the lead five minutes later with another own goal, this time by Bechem’s Emmanuel Ababio.
Despite being behind at halftime, Bechem United showed determination and equalized again in the 65th minute through Francis Acquah.
They then took the lead with a goal from Cephas Mantey in the 70th minute, securing the win.
With this victory, Bechem United moved up to 5th place in the league standings with a game in hand.
On the other hand, RTU will be disappointed they couldn’t hold on for at least a point, as they remain at the bottom of the league table with 25 points.
