Ghana-bound striker Eddie Nketiah scored a hat-trick for Arsenal as they commenced their pre-season training for the 2022/23 season with a coammanding a 5-1 victory over Ipswich Town at London Colney on Saturday 2nd July, 2022.
Nketiah, who recently signed a new deal with the Gunners, netted thrice in the first half and also assisted Sambi Lokonga’s goal, before Folarin Balogun got in on the act in the second half.
Nketiah was handed a starting berth in the game with Black Stars midfielder Thomas Teye Partey as both players impressed in the big win.
Arsenal will fly to Germany to play FC Nurnberg before they move to USA for preseason tour where they will be engaged in three games, building up for Premier League kick-off at Crystal Palace on Friday, August 5.
Nketiah, has secured his Ghana passport and look set to be named in Ghana’s squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
