German Bundesliga 3 side SG Dynamo Dresden have confirmed the loan signing of German-born Ghanaian winger Christian Joe Conteh from Dutch Eredivisie side Feyenoord Rotterdam until June 2023.
The Hamburg born attacker and former St. Pauli youth product after spending the 2021/22 season on loan at FC Dordrecht, has again been loaned to the German side after not being in the plans of Manager Arne Slot ahead of next term season.
Conteh, 22, after completing the loan move said ” l would like to use his strengths to help the team so that we can achieve our goals together” in their bid to excel in the third division contest come next season.
“I really enjoy my time at SG Dynamo Dresden. So I’m all the more pleased to be able to get to know all my new team-mates directly in the training camp. I would like to use my strengths to help the team so that we can achieve our goals together. It’s important that we have a total presence in the 3rd division from day one. In this respect, I am already looking forward to seeing the first home game in the Rudolf Harbig Stadium and feeling the impressive support from the fans,” Conteh told his club’s official website
Sporting director Ralf Becker was also full of excitement over the signing of the youngster as he believes he will make the grade in his set-up given his qualities as a winger.
“We are very satisfied that Christian Conteh decided to join SG Dynamo Dresden out of conviction. He’s a classic winger – quick, brave in one-on-ones and capable of scoring goals. With his qualities he will enrich our offensive game. In addition, it is very positive that we found an immediate solution with all sides so that he could still join the team in the training camp,” Becker added to his club’s communications network.
Conteh’s current deal with Feyenoord Rotterdam expires in June 2024 and he is valued around €450,000 according to transfermarkt.
