Ghana U-15 Girls’ team goalkeeper, Precious Akanguwie, was honoured as the Goalkeeper of the Tournament at the 2025 CAF African Schools Football Championship.
Throughout the four-day competition, hosted at the University of Ghana, Akanguwie impressed with a string of outstanding performances, making crucial saves that played a key role in her team’s success.
Her heroics were vital in Ghana’s 2-0 triumph over Uganda in the final on Saturday, April 26, 2025, helping the team lift the championship trophy.
The tournament, now in its third edition, showcased some of Africa’s brightest young talents and highlighted the growing strength of grassroots football development across the continent.
